What a GREAT clinic! The swimmers were divided into 4 groups and the Ladies of UC Berkley went into the water and gave the swimmers different drills and encouragement!

Interpretation of USA Swimming Rules Article 101.2.3 (Breaststroke)
Swimmer, Charley Oda. During the late summer of 1944, at the height of WWII, the Tri-Theatre Allied Games were held in Rome, Italy.  The games were organized for Allied athletes from the European & Mediterranean Armies in an athletic competition that included Track & Field, Swimming & Diving, and Team Sports.  At those games, Pfc. Charles Oda (Charlie)  participated in the Swimming & Diving competition for the Mediterranean Theatre of Operations (MTO) team.

This is a great article about swimming in the Adver tiser. Skippa Diaz. "It's a lifelong activity, and it relaxes the body and mind," Diaz said. Diaz also said the training and values he learned as a youth swimmer helped him greatly in football. "It gives you big-time strength," Diaz said. "It's very demanding, with practices in the morning and afternoon - a double-whammy. But it gave me that work ethic, the belief that if you want to be good in anything, you gotta put in the time."
