Coakley will be competing this Saturday at the Charlotte
Ultra Swim, NC. He is ranked 7th and will be going up against
Cullen Jones in the 50m free.
_____Daniel will be returning to
Hawaii June 15 - June 25 so that he can load up on the Hawaiian
air, food, surf and spearfishing before he goes back to Florida
to resume his training.

Congratulations!
Daniel Coakley broke the
South East Asian GAMES record with a time of 22.80 seconds.
The old record set in 2005 was 22.98 by Arwut C. Napasean, the
Thai champ who was in lane 5.
Daniel broke out at least 2 feet
in front of everyone else and just powered right to the wall
never giving a inch of his lead in front of 2,000 screaming fans.
Daniel just went all out for a clear
victory.

never mentioned his high school swimming career! Jeff swam (Breaststroker)
for the Lab School at the University of Hawaii.

with a total of 88 points.
Congratulations also to Sarina
Kong of Maui Swim Club setting the only record of the
swim meet in the 11-12 Wahine 50 Breaststroke with a time of
36.40.

tiser. Skippa Diaz. "It's
a lifelong activity, and it relaxes the body and mind,"
Diaz said. Diaz also said the training and values he learned
as a youth swimmer helped him greatly in football. "It gives
you big-time strength," Diaz said. "It's very demanding,
with practices in the morning and afternoon - a double-whammy.
But it gave me that work ethic, the belief that if you want to
be good in anything, you gotta put in the time."
