Aloha All,

I just wanted to take this opportunity to make all of you aware of some issues surronding the Oceania games.
The first issue are the DATES, the games will be held June 5-8 which is FINALS WEEK and GRADUATION for Iolani and Punahou. Coaches if you have any athletes who attend these schools AND are on the top 10 list please make your athletes aware of the conflict. I know some athletes are already working on getting their finals changed.
This leads us to the second issue: PASSPORTS If you have an athlete in the TOP 10 MAKE SURE THEY HAVE A PASSPORT. The application process for passports has become much longer with lead times of up to 3 months.
The third issue is: HIGH SCHOOL STATES, please make sure that all your athletes swims are USA SWIMMING APPROVED and are REPORTED to SWIMS. For many of the athletes on the island this will be their last chance to make the team. The LAST CHANCE TO QUALIFY for the team will be SENIOR SECTIONALS.
I am anticipating having to go FAR DOWN THE LIST, especially on the women's side, to fill out our team. WE WILL be taking 4 men and 4 women, and you can see ALL the rankings on the website.
